Dying on every level
Is it possible to die on every level and still beat the game for an average player lol? Trying to figure out if I need to restart.

Depends on the difficulty. If you are playing on anything but Easy I'd recommend restarting as soon as you die because you lose too much loot and upgrades after death.

Good to know! It wasn't really explained anywhere, I wasn't sure if stat upgrades from the upgrade stations were also lost after death (the same as inventory items) or if they applied to the entire run even if you died and had to continue with a new Volunteer.

I assume Devices unlocked carry over between Volunteers and difficulty levels, at least? That's not really explained either ^.^' I have somehow managed to not die yet (but I'm only playing on Easy for my first run) so these are all assumptions on my part.

I'm also not really sure what the differences between the difficulty levels are, or if it's literally just if you want more of a challenge and there's no new items/Devices/levels unlocked by doing so.

You can absolutely beat the game on normal even if you do die on every level. If you die and had upgrades, your new character can find the old one's corpse on that level and some of your items and upgrades will be on the corpse. You just have to find it. Even if you don't happen upon it, it's not too hard to just continue on. Some levels are definitely a little tough and may require a couple deaths to get a better starting roll (revolver shotgun and like 30 ammo), but you can absolutely do it. You absolutely don't need to completely restart from the beginning. The hardest part is just the boss rooms or the ferry or train level but they also have a bunch of gear, specifically, to help you get through the encounter even on a fresh person. Keep at it! You can do it.
