How come games like these aren't made any more?
*sigh*

do you mean LOK games? Or third person games in general? Well, hard to say.. I guess game companies tend to focus on shooters or other genres instead.. and puzzles and intelectual story isn´t as profitable as straightforward shoot´em´up style game... Maybe E3 will unveil some interesting games.

I was thinking about games that have both interesting story, acting, and gameplay :p But yeah, maybe. Not really holding my breath, to tell you the truth.

..closest I can think of it Namco Bandai with the Tales of.. games and Gods Eater. Those games follow that pattern. Reminds me a bit of adventure/action games like the LOK games.

I must say that the main protagonist in Darksiders 2 resembles Raziel's art style.

That is a good question indeed.

Yes, this question is certainly a good one

Actually, they do make games like these, and arguably better. Examples:
Darksiders 1 & 2 (as Protekt1 mentioned)
God Of War - all of them were great
Castelvanis Lords of Shadows 1 & 2
Prince of Persia Sands of Time, Warrior Within & Twin Towers
Mark of Kri & Rise of the Kasai (PS2 only)
Mortal Kombat Shaolin Monks

And is one doesn't mind a bit less story, but a lot more action, then Ninja Gaiden, Ninja Blade, Metal Gear Rising and X-Men Origins Wolverine are games that one should definitely check out.

they don't make games like this anymore cause the dude-bro demographic pushed mindless violence shooters over deep complex storytelling.. they hated a half hour of storyline cinematics over 5 minute long matches of "DUDE I TOTALLY HEADSHOT YOU BRO!!!".. this is why LoK: Nosgoth sucks.. its just another mindless dude-bro game

That is unfortunately true. It's curious, though -- how well some of these games do, even commercially, when re-released with practically no fanfare. It's almost as if.. there's a sizable second demography out there in addition to the most, let's say, visible one.

What I like about these type of games is it isnt just one gameplay type. Its action combat, platforming, exploration, puzzle solving. It just offers so much more than most modern games.

You should check out the new Styx game, it has stealth and action and cool/interesting characters in a neat midieval world

♥♥♥♥♥♥♥ with tiny peckers woul rather try and "no scope" each other all day long, and odds are none of them have ever cracked a book ouside of a mandatory school project. That is why there has not been a decent rpg in years. Chest thumping troglodites do not care about a story, and get all pissy about a cut sceen that lasts longer then a few seconds
Games that used to be a relevant standard for rpg/action platformers such as "TES3:Marrowind", the LoK games, and even Final Fantasy series were replaced by FpS no thought games because they simply make more money and are less effort on the part of the respective companys to create.

Amy Henning the lead on the series left the company after Defiance.

There were two games being worked on, one was named Dead Sun which was suppose to be a spin-off to the series and another Dark Prophecy which was suppose to be a 'pre-sequel'. the game was suppose to focus on Kain's rise to power, and the other half was suppose to focus Kain finally saving Nosgoth.

But sadly these two games went into development hell. with no chance of seeing the light of day both games were cancelled.

Later on Nosgoth (the MMO) was created with the remains of Dead Sun and Dark Prophecy. But mostly Dead Sun (I think).
