Game won't start

Hello, I just finished playing Soul Reaver 1 & 2 Remastered and would love to finally experience Legacy of Kain: Defiance to fulfill a childhood dream. However, when I try to launch the game, I only get a black screen with some audio before it crashes. I've searched online for a solution but haven't found anything helpful.

Does anyone know how to get this game running on modern systems? Thanks!

There is a fix in this communityhub that you can try and i vaguely remember a fix guide in the SR2 hub which covers Defiance as well. Good luck brother.
