Defiance with PS3 controller using Motionjoy

Hey all, I've just finished soul reaver 2 using my PS3 controller no problem using Motionjoy by setting it on PS2 controller mode. I then went to play defiance and found the game wouldn't recognise the controller if it's set as PS2, but will if it's set on Xbox 360 controller mode. Problem is when using this in game it won't recognise the L2 or R2 buttons on my controller so i can't assign them to anything in the settings. Has anyone else had this problem and found a fix to it?
