Why does Ariel always look different?
Seriously this lady goes through more changes than an addicted cosplayer. First BO she looked downright creepy like a dry witch with an eyeball hanging out, or a worm, something hanging out her eye socket. Then we get SR2 which sexyifed her a bit, least one side, turning her into an attractive lady. Then we get SR2 where she basically looks a little more like BO1, but more like SR1 again but not so young looking. Now in defiance she looks pretty good but still nothing like both SR or BO1. She's basically all rotting now on both sides of her face, which isn't what I thought they were going for... But I dunno just seems like every installment this lady changes drastically like they never really had an idea of what she was suppose to look like.

I honestly prefer BO1's take. SR1's was awful really this teenager blonde was with nuptraptor? A dude with stitches all over his face? I think defiance version is pretty good tho, but they still didn't get the old witch look down from BO1.

Artistic licence. In SR1 she has been imprisoned for a really long time so maybe her white bandages turned black over time. Also, don´t forget that Nupraptor has stitched his eyes and mouth shut because he found her dead.

That's true, but still he couldn't of looked much different before that, being a creepy old sorcerer.
But then beauty is in the eye of the beholder. I do think the defiance versions probably the creepiest, but I still like the way BO1 made her a bit more on nupraptors level.

I do not like Defiance one at all, as the Hylden said, she looks like she was in a car crash, not stabbed in the back. Luckily his mod fixes it.

I guess it was suppose to signify how long she's been dead, or something. It looks cool in a morbid horror way, but as far as making sense with the story probably not. BO1 had a good take on it, an older woman maybe 40-50 with a withered face. Soul Reaver 1's take was just weird to me like nup liked them young or something. But given how big a scumbag nup was that might not be a stretch.

She was only dead for 30 years at the time of BO1/Defiance, though, in comparison to many centuries by the time of SR1. It was due to different artistic interpretation.

Yea and she basically looks like a 20 year old in SR1.
I really like SR1 tho, I just think they dropped the ball on ariel.
