Alchemy
Alchemy as a crafting system seems almost entirely not worth using; i have never once crafted a single potion for that potions use, i only craft to gain exp in alchemy because like a lot of crafting systems its a sucky slog to max and only when it is maxed does it have any value. A lot of the materials you need to train it are too rare, let alone for the sake of making a mana potion, in over 100 hours i have like 3 Ensowares or w/e, i think gnomes sometimes drop them but i cant pick them anywhere and im not farming gnomes for hours to craft 500g worth of mana potions.
I assume you would ideally want people to actually use alchemy for potions, i've found a lot of recipes but potions just havnt been that useful except for mana which again are not worth making, let alone the things that require Frostbloom, i hunted giants for TWO HOURS just to get 5 of that stuff for a quest, now imagine doing that for ♥♥♥♥♥♥ exp and crafting two potions and gaining 0.07% alchemy skill. It just becomes something i do to burn reagents and clear storage space.
I think a few fun things could help alchemy.
1. Gathering skill should increase amount of materials you pick, you need a huge amount of materials to get anywhere.
2. Let us plant gardens? Maybe as a house attachment, or maybe just have locations on each map that sell garden plots and we can choose what to plant from that biome.
3. Let me build an alchemy bench for my home (crafting/cooking too!) so i can make potions in my own home (and if possibly, tie it to my storage so it can pull materials directly from them)
4. Resistance potions would be pretty useful; one for magic one for poison, armor has a scroll so probably redundant. I could actually see myself using those.
5. When it comes to tier'd potions, i'd like to be able to upgrade lower tier potions into better ones by adding a few ingredients; potions are much more consistently accessible from monster drops than any other reagent.
