Survive objective at the end of the game?

At the end of the game instead of going to the door outside I went to the crawl space and got a survive objective for 2 minutes. When the timer reached zero I got this error message,

Is this a bug or something I dont have the brain cells for?

Definitely a bug, I think. I think it's just supposed to send you away from the basement if you try to go to it until you go to the front door first. Something's probably triggering a survive objective and it causes a crash because there's nothing coded for what happens when the countdown hits 0.

I couldn't recreate it and I thought it was a hidden ending. Glad to know it was just a bug.

I've had the same bug, and even got soft locked to getting an error anytime I tried going straight for the door.

The only way to fix this is if you start at "Returning to Rhok'zan" before "Final Dream".
It'll save other people the trouble of looking for answers until this bug's fixed.

UPDATE:
Apparently, the error only occurs if you're in Compatibility Mode. Bizarre, I know, but that might be what's causing it.

I wasnt in compatibility mode but thats weird as hell
