Why is this Game a Sequel?

In the last Game it ends with Earth being destroyed by a Incursion basically Destroying the World and causing mass insanity to all Humanity. and yet there's this game, I'm not angry I'm just Confused, can someone please explain to me what is going on?

It's likely a different reality, there are up to 50 realities happening at one time given that every reality is a different god's dream and there are 50 outer gods. A god waking up destroys the reality but then they go back to sleep and dream up a new one. This was explained in the first game by l'neta in chapter 2. Also the goat lady says "rejected by my own cultist in my own dream" at some point.
