There is challenging. Then there is sadistic...
Deadpools final level is the latter. Never have a come acrossed such a mis balanced, glitchy, unfair, cheap, mismanaged level as this. Overflowing with every kind of enemies in the game jammed into small cooridors as you have to manage evading and counter constantly (One button that constantly back fires on you). Scarce ammo not even plentiful enough to deal with as much as 3 of the bullet spongiest enemies ive ever accountered. Let alone hundreds of them. Tie that together with your constant battle with the camera, and every enemy with a weapon is waiting to one shot you. In turn sending you back using a piss poor checkpoint system sometimes putting you nearly an hour backwards. I love challenging games. Rogue likes such as Binding of Isaac, and FTL are some of my favorite games. One of my favorite games ever is Dark Souls. But what Ive encountered in this one level is just difficulty, and challenge done wrong in every way. Especially because it comes out of no where with the spike in difficulty. I am playing on Ultra Violence but its still no excuse for bad game design. Rant/

As much as I love this game, the difficulty spikes is one of the things it did wrong. On Ultra Violent, I found most of the game to be quite easy. However, there were then a few spots, such as that one you mentioned, where it became frustratingly hard.

Blockbuster, for example, is capable of killing you in one hit with his charge / leap attacks. Not really so bad in his boss fight. Terrible in the second fight where you also have to watch out for Arclight and your vision is blurry from Vertigo

That's why I usually save the button pressing Momentum skills (LT+Y on a 360 controller) for heavy enemies, you're pretty much invulnerable while doing them and they do a TON of damage. I can usually go through about 3 large enmies with the daggers.

Do you use the finishing moves? I've had some rough time defeating Sinister, but you can use some chaep moves yourself, and the fight gets actually fun.

If you want, you can kill him with no effort at all with a stun grenade and a shotgun.

I felt like the endgame was an excellent opportunity to utilize all your skills and weapons in a single battle. Bear traps + plasma guns, Stun grenades + instant finisher, land mines, etc. It was awesome!

Best way to take down block buster and any of the tubbies are shotguns, SMGs for Archlight, and lasers for the sinister clones. Anyone b****ing about a challenge doesn't realise that, that is the point of games. I'm sick of hearing people cruise through a game and complain about it's length. 10hr game when you are challenged is a 5-7hr game you rushed. If you aren't failing and striving to succeed, then why bother. Isn't that why most people prefer multiplayer, cause they feel some sort of challenge? although lets be fair those same people also b**** about mechanics and the oppresive LAG!!!! which in most cases is just them f***ing up xD

Challenge, and bad mechanics are two different things. The challenge comes from the game not playing how it intended. Which isnt fun or satisfying once you get through it. In that cased you just feel jipped.

Yeah, I agree with OP and others...too crazy difficulty ramp-up at the end. Go from squashing enemies with a slight challenge, to getting one-two punched repeatedly dozens of times where not only do you have to watch an annoyingly repetitive cutscene each time, but you can get killed in one or two seconds just as you start out that same section, and without even being able to move, you're dead. Not fun. I don't know how many times I immediately got blasted with a thrown rock from Blockbuster, picked up by Arclight, and before I could even move, I'm picked up by Blockbuster before control is even returned to my character!! and dead. NOT good level design. Period.

But, I know it can be done, with a ton of luck, and obviously skill that I don't have nor wish to spend multiple hours perfecting. So, I'll just watch the ending on YouTube, consider it a fun ride while it lasted (6 hours of fun, comical gameplay — 4 hours of getting stuck in ridiculously-overpowered enemy territory) and call it a day.

i posted the same thoughts when i finished it shortly after it released. A ton of other people agreed with me there, as are all these people agreeing with you here. It was extremely frusterating and you're not alone.

I've thought about how i want to replay it for the humor, but then i think about those moments i got stuck for hours due to a spike in difficulty. Yea id rather not go through that again...

I just charged up all my combo attacks before the fight and facerolled the first two with spammed momentum attacks, then ran in circles while shooting for the last ones.

To take out sinister, I used the hammers and the plasma rifles. If you knock a sinister clone down, you can do a move where you flip over him and shoot him while he's on the ground. It's a one hit kill. Takes a clone out of the fight in less than five seconds. After about ten tries and getting stomped, I got real cheap with it, lol.

I'm not sure why, but this topic has actually sold me on buying the game.

the whole game feels like this, i unlock eveything within the first few stages and then just get angry because drops are so scarce and the enemies just soak everything :(
