Stuck after Cable joins, sorta

Soo, after the first fight together with Cable ("Can I have your gun?") after the enemies stopped coming, the game just does.. nothing. Do I have to do something? Is my savegame screwed up? What is happening? Cable just runs around in circles, basically, and I can't figure out what to do. There was no boss or something, after the 3rd or 4th flying guy the enemies just stopped swarming out and everything's quiet.

there could be an enemy somewhere. I had a flying guy flying over top or behind a pillar once.

At the exact same stage, I had one "fire thingie" get stuck at the spawn point for the enemies. It was behind some stones so I had to jump shot it down. Right after, I was instakilled by a frezebeam from heaven and by masses of randomspawned mobs. I gave up after a few tries as I could barely fight back for some, I guess buggy reason.

Just in case anyone still cares, it fixed itself after a few retries days later. Seems like Antiks was right, or it was really just a very annoying other bug :)

Restart the chapter. It worked for me.
