Deadpool has been removed Steam, other stores as well
Well the community choice vote mini fiasco looks like to be the least of Deadpool's worries. As of 5 p.m.(Pacific), Deadpool and its DLC has been removed from Steam. Only the trailer remains for now. What makes it even weirder is that Gamestop's PC store has stopped selling the game as well.

As of 6pm (pacific), the game can still be bought from Amazon for $10. Gamefly is also selling Deadpool for $9.99! (I believe the 20% coupon code works on it) Once the keys run out, I'm sure the game will be gone from those sites as well.

This raises some serious questions. Is this some weird glitch/mistake? Or are there licensing violations that forced its removal? If anyone has anymore information, please post here!

So glad I bought this when I did. Though, if we delete this from our computer, can we download it again, since we own it? Or transfer the files to another computer/hard drive to play on that and free up space on one hard drive?

You can always download it.

amazon has Deadpool for PS3, no other console or PC... ebay has it for PS3 and 360, but not for the PC... did they ever make a physical retail disc of the PC version, or was it digital download only? I really wanted to play this too...

Genuinely sad that this game has been removed. It was a suprise gem for me. While nothing new in the genre, it was genuinely entertaining. And ridiculously hilarious. And just so so much fun.

Boo @ Marvel/Disney and Activision for having a ♥♥♥♥♥ off at the expensive of this game.

Every licenced game is pulled sooner or later when licence is over. It happened with many games. Don't blame Activision.

You are right. That's why it's important to get the games you are interested in as soon as possible or you miss the chance.

In its' current state of legal BS the removal of licensed games due to contract expiration on PC is an insult to gamers, and only promotes illegal downloading, hacking and piracy. Play "your" games in your offices, and "we" WILL continue to play the games we want regardless. Who looses out in the long run? Developers and publishers, for not providing... ...the "game" has already been made and released, so what is the point of pulling "it"? You're only cheating yourselves out of an opportunity to receive revenue by selling another copy. Force people to go looking for another way to play the games they want, stupid. Also, mobile gaming with pay to play could and will one day be labeled "the dark age of gaming". Why so much disappointment? MONEY... the root of all evil, one of the only true evils alongside murder and other acts that hurt many to benefit a few. But, who's listening anyway...

I don't really care. Though I already owned the game, I wouldn't have any problem downloading it from TPB if it wasn't on steam anymore. Sadly, I had to do that with some games that were pulled of from steam before I had the time to buy them.

I have started a thread to continue discussion of my post.

It is titled "A DISCUSSION about the REAL EFFECTS of pulling LICENSED GAMES - and more... " here in the Deadpool Discussion forum.

Later,
