What the heck is wrong with these companies. This game is just sitting on a hard drive somewhere doing nothing. Disney and Activision could both be making money from this and all the other licenced games removed from Steam.

As far as i know, this game was removed cos didn't sell as well as they wanted, the licence is expensive and the money they could make with this is unsure, it got a pretty solid fanbase now but for Activision doesn't worth trying cos the 2 times it was in store it sold "bad".

Plus, they're too busy squeezing Call of Duty.

It makes no sense why these companies wouldnt just have a % base deal on each copy sold. The game is just sitting on a hard drive when it would be making money. So many licenced games are like this. Family Guy is a big one.

It costs money for a license renewal. And although we don't exactly know how much I'm betting it's something in the hundred thousands of US dollars.

A game like this most likely wouldn't return that profit even across all platforms. Add to that the fact that Activision doesn't publish games on Steam anymore and you have something that is impossible to ever happen again.

I wish it was on steam, I skipped each sale. Then the price spiked from like $60 to over $100 elsewhere

The iso is available pretty much everywhere. The real issue is that these IPs are not being thrown to a bunch of devs and let em make games like this deadpool, the whole xmen legends/alliance and whatever, spiderman web of shadows ect ect. Sad times bois

Microsoft probably could do it next year once the deal goes through. They own Activision which means they own High Moon Studios, Beenox, etc. If Microsoft wanted to go full chad, they would sign a deal with Disney and rerelease all of Activision's Marvel games.

It won't happen folks. Speaking of a business standpoint it makes 0 sense to pay Marvel again to renew this game's license as they would still have to waste more money to port it to current gen consoles.

The only hope for a license renoval is when deadpool 3 comes out if it ever comes out.
And even then i highly doubt it to come back to steam, idk maybe epic store, microsoft store or game pass.

The only thing i regret is for not buying the DLC when i got the chance back in 2017 whitout knowing it would be my last :(.
