run regedit.exe, in the edit option at the top, search for deadpool. Look for an entry for resolution and change it to your native res (1920x1080 in my case). For some reason when I had this issue the values in that registry entry had a weird resolution. Changed it and the game immediately launched.

i got a similar problem. however i think mine was caused by something else. i usally run with 2 screen ( the other for youtube and sh*t like that), but got an/a Xbox and used my 2nd moniotor for that. Deadpool did not like that and my screen turned white and the game closed, but as soon as I sat my 2nd monitor to my rig, the game worked like a charm

bump, I am a technician and the regedit suggestion was extremely vague. Most people on steam have more than 10 games so trying to 'search' is no help.

When you find 'deadpool' on Registry Editor you have these options: (Default), installpath, language, spexepath, and version. All of which have nothing to do with resoultion.

It's all good now.

So what was that guy talking about when he said to change the native resolution? Do you yourself know how to fix this? Really wanted to play this game for a while now lol

Here is the fix:

Search > Regedit > HKEY_USERS > S-1-5-21 > Software > Activision > Deadpool

Here you can change the resolution. HOWEVER, change it to a lower resolution and when you are inside the game you can change it back.

I have seen situations where if you do this the game still will do the "flashing" and then quit. I had to play the game in Windowed mode and got no errors whatsoever.
