Help Me "Look Under the Couch"

I'm stuck where my only hints from Maciek and Anita are about electricity and looking under the couch.

I know I am very early on, but spoilered just in case: The fuse box is open with 1 fuse. I moved the light bulb from the bathroom to the hallway so it can shine into the living room. That lets me inspect the armchair next to the couch, but nothing else. Moving the fuse to the zone including the living room doesn't help; the switch glows on the far wall and the ooze comes nearly up to the door without the hall light.

Other interaction points seem to hint that you can move furniture. How do you do that? That's the only way to get closer to the couch I can see, but I don't know how to do it.

Try to enter that room through the kitchen (which can be lit, if there's power in the living room).

You need to get next to the furniture that shows signs of having been moved and push. It may take some repositioning (took me several tries with each movable piece of furniture). Then the light from the kitchen will help, as ragnarok indicated.
