Guide: How To Fix Floating Anlog That Drifts To The Bottom Of The Screen During Arcade Shooting Segments
So you know those segments like in stage 5 where you have to use the gun to shoot at the red highlighted targets? Well those segments can be a real pain with the reticule drifting to the bottom of the screen -- forcing you to have to keep adjusting the reticule to keep it level (if only barely).

I tolerated it during the stage with the carrier ships, but for the robot boss, it was practically impossible to beat the boss with the drifting. There is an easy fix, though, if you're using a controller.

Simply open up the Steam controller menu for the game and make sure Steam Input is enabled.

Go into the config screen for the controller and find a button that is not being used or used regularly. For an Xbox Elite controller, you can use a paddle. For a DualShock/DualSense you can use one of the touchpad buttons. For a Switch Pro controller, you can use the right thumbstick button.

What you'll want to do is assign the controller button to the 'W' key on the keyboard. Go into the options for the button assignment, and make sure it is set to "Toggle". Also enable "Turbo".

Set the interval for the turbo at 50.

What this will do is that when you press the button, it will toggle it so that the controller will send a macro that rapidly presses 'W'. This will work to balance out the reticule and mostly keep it even (though jittery) on the screen. I found this to be a practical solution for the arcade shooting segments. Hope it helps.
