Into the Dead: Our Darkest Days

Into the Dead: Our Darkest Days

very bad graphics
intel core I7 13700KF 16-core (24 treads) 5.40GHZ
Nvidia Geforce RTX 4080 16GB GDDR6x Gaming x Trio
MSI Z790 TOMAHAWK SATA600 M2 DDR5 GIGABIT with bluetooth & Wifi
FURY BEAST KIT 32GB (2x16GB) DDR5 4800Mhz

i tried to change all the settings (dlss off, low quality etc etc) but my graphics stay bad, i have double text and its moving (twitching), on my characters it almost looks like i play a 16 bit game, i have a twitching wrinkle in the middle of my screen that is from left to my right of the screen etc etc
now i hear many think, is your GPU not broken?, and i must say no, as i start up cyberpunk 2077, and everything looks so beautiful, even the raytracing looks very good as in all my other games, like i said, i tried to change settings, but nothing is working
does anybody else have this problem or am i the only one?, i didn't ask for a refund yet, as i REALY want to play this game, i hope i will get a response from the DEVS, so that i can hear good news, so i will wait a short while for that ansewer, if i don't hear any, then in this state i do must ask for a refund, with all the pain in my heart
ps, i made some screenshots, where you can see this problem very good, if only there was a way to show them though

Lenovo Legion Core i9 GTX 4080 here, 2560 x 1600 2k screen perfect graphics, smooth animations.

Looks like you enabled some weird graphics options for DLSS/etc upscaling trash.
Reset your graphics options, make sure to pick your native screen resolution, and disable any "dynamic" trash rescaling, and enable fullscreen dedicated. Oh and obviously, update your graphics drivers. ALso, if your PC has in-built video, like an Intel card, make sure in video drivers to designate to use your external video card.

There is a known issue with DLSS, disable it if it is enabled.

well sir or madam, i have to ask do you mean in game or the nvidia app ?, because small changes i can make, but i'm not so smart with all the changes in the nvidia app, so most of the settings there are still at default settings, as i'm alway's afraid to change those, and even don't know how to reset my settings there, and also just afraid to make things worst, as like i said, my other games runs good without any problems, what to do what to do

i know there was a problem with dlss sir or madam, and i already tried to turn it off asi also mention it in my first line of explanation, but thank you any way for the help
Sir. I mentioned DLSS to make sure you've disabled it through the driver interface, along with other things like that. Have you tried running the game in DX11 mode? If not, it's DX12 and there are some issues with certain setups.

i only did switch off dlss in game options, but now i will also try it in nvidia sir, and running in dx11 was my very first option that i tried because i thought it will be the better option of the two, by now i tried both options not much of a difference, but i did lose that wrinkle in the middle of my screen by changing the resolution from 60 to 120 so atleast now the game is playable for me, now i have some annoying but still playable problems, its more a thorn in the eye then a problem and that is i have some flicker at some images, like the shadow parts, but not so big of a deal, i already decided to keep the game, so at a later moment i will try to do some other changes, as like i already said the game is in an state that its playable for me right now, and i'm already sucked into the game hehe, thnx for the help and have a nice day sir
dlss sucks

You don´t have any screenshot from the game. Had to say what is wrong. For me both PC and Steam deck game looks good. Nica art stile, simple graphics but really good.

DX11 has graphics problem. Change to Dx12, better graphics and more stable. Also vsync on this game make lose performance, so turn it off

i have a few screenshots yes, its most of the black parts in the game, like shadow, and dark parts of the area, and yes i already did go back to dx 12, as i said before, not much of difference between 11 and 12 so i did run on 12 now, ps i don't see the option to upload screenshots here, but i do have a few

Oh yes, dudes are right!

By default the game offers just "launch Into the Dead" or "Launch (DX11)", definitely keep it at default. since DX11 is backwards compatibility option with massive glitches.

You can change it back to default, which runs on DX12, if you right click the game in steam library and select "Launch options"

I don't know if its exacly the same issue as you're facing, I have some kind of ghosting while characthers walk by the screen and some green tickling, that seems like a ghosting too. But when I turned off all the ilumination settings and the shadow one, it feels too damn smooth and clean. It doesnt feel so immersive now, but feels more confortable to the eyes.
