Mitchum Powell Plaza Level 2 Barricaded Room

There is a barricaded room on level 2, right side of the emergency stairwell, that I can't figure out how to get to if it as all possible. There is no open window nor can you break it open on the floor above. And I didn't see a way to climb down from any other floor including the roof.

yes, someone finally is having the same issue I have. i went above trying to maybe drop from the window, or drop from the elevator shaft, go around different routes, but the only entrance is the one blocked by a chair. I cleared the entire building, and I still can't find a way to get in....

I was confused like you for a while. The solution is climbing down the very top open elevator until you reach the 2nd floor, i think it's the right side one. The only reason why I thought of it was because there was a fireman's pole that acted as a one way ladder.

I thought of the elevator shaft as well, but I didn't think to press down rather than up to start the climb. It's a bit counterintuitive because to interact with most things in the background (i.e. hide behind something), you press up. And most ledges to climb down from are on the 2d plane (i.e. left and right). I knew about the fire pole from the demo, but avoided it because I knew it would spawn a zombie below, so didn't have a reminder to reinforce the down interaction. Maybe the devs could add a prompt to indicate something is different about an area.
