There are currently 3 endings, at a guess the Devs will expand on the different endings and give more choice but you can play a full campaign with one of the current endings.

Their roadmap also illustrates this, given as the easiest comparison to make to distinguish content is with This War of Mine.
There are no environmental effects, events, factions or even a time limit to being in stages. You cannot barge down doors in a sprint, zombies cannot use their speed or numbers to their advantage in combat, or reasonable threat of infection to your survivors. There is no radio to notify the player in any way of the game state by the amount of days you have progressed, or a looming threat to push you into escaping the city.
It has a beginning, middle and end with just enough meat on the bone to have fun though.
It sure enough to give you some good taste, that's why the demo received so many positive reviews and so many wish-list.
Meanwhile, their road-map promised you not just some taste, they expect to give you a great meal with number of different courses.
So, it is a complete fine food, but haven't reach 1/3 of the fine dinner they described.
And one good thing is: they listen and re-act quick.
For example, multiple charters lobbing is not initially planned in 10/04/2025 release. But some external (prior-release) reviewers gave them the feedback of needing such function to be less bored when holding more than 5 charters with EA version game. So they added this function just one day prior EA release.
