I know some people mentioning another guy at the fire station in the demo but cannot confirm for EA.
and since you can send multiple people to scavenge at the same time, resources should not be much of a problem
Not sure of a limit - I usually only keep 3 at most due to hunger and food issues (from the demo at least, from the looks of it in EA there is a lot more food but I have also kept 2 survs a lot longer than I did in the demo). 4 would probably be good so two can make upgrades, cook, etc. and two could go out. I would expect a limit of max 6, This War of Mine had a limit of 4-5 I believe so I would assume the same for this game.
Im at 8 now, starters + Rahul (church), Joe (gas station), Audrey (taxi depot), Lester (auto dealership), Barb (red mile), Hudson (motel).
There's at least 6-7 more including Kirk, Michelle, Isabelle, Frank, Pilot, Miguel
2) I think they are set in certain areas and you have to find them.
Ex: I always found Joe over the radio (at a construction firm's second level is a radio on a table you can interract with), Marianne is hold up on the second floor of a house, and Cliff is at the top of an unfinnished building at a Fire Station.
3) That I don't know. I haven't really refused anyone even out of curiosity. My guess is that you might be able to get them later if they are still there, but in some cases they're lucky to be alive.
4) I'd say they are pretty much set.
Ex: Joe always has Strong Shoulders, Gearhead and some other perk that causes him to lose morale if he's hungry.
5) Right now? No. Only way you can get rid of them is to willingly toss them against a mob of zombies during exploration.
