i have went too all places and discovered them through the telescope but my map is still small and it shows other places outside i discovered but cant loot them im i doing something wrong or just early access

You can only explore areas in the set radius around your base, so you need to switch to new bases to open up new areas.

Indeed, you need to switch shelters in order to move around, since the operational range is roughly the size of a city block or a small neighborhood. That feels realistic, considering these are meant to be short-range raids. It is one of the basic mechanics of the game.

Expanding it to include the zombie-infested streets would change the whole spirit of the game.
