I played this demo a few times. Sometimes I lose no one until I do and sometimes I lose someone. The game is unforgiving in good way but as casual gamer I do not have much time to start from the beginning I would appretiate checkpoint save at least when I move my base.

I really enjoy enviromental storytelling like in your game. You overhear police radio call and when you visit police station you get cool event there.
Or that you can unlock new area o loot if you stumble on good information. - 10/10

What I really like so far is that if I kill half of the zombies and loot half of the things the map stayes the same. It also looks like if I more base to place with loot, then the loot is added to stash. - 10/10

To that I think adding notes to locations can be really cool. Exm - Left gun parts here

Adding something to do in base could be cool too. For example expanding to the roof in Records Shop could take two or three phases. But it could reward player with extra wood, metal and cloth + discovering secret new area to loot.

Those plans looks like end game goals that is super cool + extra hope is making exploring worth.

I did also try ringing a bell in church, fun stuff :D Maybe this could drag hordes from the city to make it easier to loot there?

Water catcher is costly and I had no problem with finding water. Maybe make it free for just one person workplace? +1 water per phase? -edit: maybe I was extra unlucky on cloth that run, now I had plenty

I did not try gardening yet I lost to zombies :D Because I was rushing it too fast

EDIT: So gardening looks good, small amout of vegies and water for 10 vegies in future looks nice, I wonder if the vegies will grow even if I move shelter and come back later :D
Probably not.

I think that Tier 1 Weapon Bench should allow player to use one Duck tape to fix one weapon (only once per weapon).
Some of the really cool weapons like combat knife or baseball bat might be valuable to player.
I did actually carry multiple weapons every once and while and I switched between them.

Can you please add two quick slots for weapons depending on character maybe even more? It will be extra handy.

Dismantling station: I really think that this should be Tier 1 craftable since you can find things to dismantle very early.

For the prebysterian church bell, I discover it somehow lessen the zombies attacking the music record shelter for a period time, even though after rang the bell in the church the zombies will still come over to wreck our shelter barricades, instead of 2 barricades broken, it is 1 barricades broken (can try for yourself and see how it works) I think the church bell rang will buy the survivors some time in the current music record store until they survivors move on to next safety shelter. Gardening need planning, same as water collector need time to harvest vegetables, but needed more time to get the vegetables (need 4 phases) not exactly worth in the current game demo as u only have 7 days. I like the expanding ideas within the shelter.

Agree with OP i know you can find other survivors along the way but in early game I see myself restarting to a new game if one of the main characters die. checkpoints would be nice. a hardcore run for those who like the current mode too

Indeed I tryed to push Gas Station for garden, Did not realise I have only 7 days :D So my demo ended just before I could have it. But it look to be very woth it

the church bell is just one thing that you must avoid, there are other things too that trigger zombies such as the police car sirens

It was designed to triggered for the first time if the players char decided to leave the police station to the car park area but theres a lot of sleeping zombies nearby. When chars slowly crouching moving slowly towards exit point it will trigger the police car alarm. Need to start running pronto!

My characer died in police station because of clunky controls :D And since the demo allows olny 7 days I will wait for the game now. No point in playing more now.
