What becomes of the demo?

In preparation for the early access, I have one question.

Are we supposed to uninstall the demo before buying and downloading the early access?

Not really. For steam Into the Dead: Our Darkest Days and Into the Dead: Our Darkest Days Demo are different games. So if you want to play early access version of the game, you should download and launch it. Uninstalling demo isn't necessary, but you won't need it to play full game.

Indeed. Sometimes full games replace their demo versions, sometimes they don't, and you have to manually uninstall the demo. The fact that the demo is technically a separate game, having its own Steam page, suggests that you'll have to do this.

The demo and the Early Access game are two different applications - you shouldn't need to uninstall the demo in order to install the Early Access version.

I have thought of this as well. I think the demo u can uninstall bro. The demo version is like a tutorial run for the future new players maybe. Unless u got some nice picture on demo.
