Second time: this time knowing this guy will attack immediately, just take his revolver and ammo and shoot him instead and loot his dead corpse. His special make weapon makeshift machete is pretty strong ill give him that.
Third time: on this attempt just approach cautiously and loot at the right side basement when he is not aware. Just take his revolver and ammo and some other stuffs then sneak away, leaving Hardwick alive. (Maybe there is a way to initiate dialogue with this geezer in future, I dont know, the fact that the underground tunnel network graffiti painted outside of his trailer wooden fence says something)
I believe that once you have a Tier 3 Weapons Bench (which is un-buildable with demo), players may be able to craft such powerful weapons.
This could result in him dying due to lack of supplies; that is if he is a lone prepper. If he has a group, your colony could encounter retaliation.
This would be an ideal outcome for pacifist players. I believe that in full release, and if you do not touch his personal effects, you may be able to initiate an anxiety driven yet relatively calm dialogue; which may be doubtful considering you managed to discover his secret underground bunker.
Is Hadwick a zombie?
Nope hes alive, when you first see Hardwick at the basement, he was working something on the working bench. I thought at first this guy is a new survivor lol
So why does he attack?
Are the Savior's in this game ?
well first and foremost, we are uninvited guest lol. I take it that in this kind of situation, either Sgt Hardwick doing something that does not want anyone know, or we are trespassing his private area thats why he gone hostile lol. U have to try for yourself, but u have been warned lol, either u walk away or u have to put him down.
PLOT TWIST
The traps he has all over his property was not meant for the zombies
he was looking at a map when i stealth killed him,
