Into the Dead: Our Darkest Days

Into the Dead: Our Darkest Days

THANK YOU!! (Feedback and Impressions)
This is finally a Game in the "This War of Mine" Style  . Thank you so much. I wanted a new Game like this so hard and searched for years now for smth similar. Finally i can at least play the Demo and this made me so happy :D.

I not played the demo long enough to give a huge feedback but i got some impressions and feedback for you. So here we go:

Impressions:
+ The Graphic Style (i really like that it has colors and not just grey)
+ The Time Setting (it plays in the '80s if i got it right)
+ The Gameplay Style :p
+ The Idea of possibilities in surviving and escaping (like i said before i didn't played enough to tell how this will be game changing at all - or not)
+ The unique Characters with their very own Background Stories
+ German Language ^-^
+ The created emotions and immersion caused by the sounds (the sounds gives me a thrill, as example at first i thought there is a crying women i maybe could help but after a few seconds longer listening to her the zombie sounds came through and that catched me hard. Love it.)
+ If you swap your Base to another location, you take your workstations with you. (Its even cool that you can actually switch your location where you want. For and backwords.)
+ high potential in every way (there are lots of items, craftables, locations, bases, possible exits, ... however. this has a high potential in evolve to a really big universe!)

- The Combat System feels a bit delayed (or maybe i'm never hitting the right moment ?)
- Some more Tutorial Text would be nice (like for the combat/enemy system or how you can eat)
- You can't turn off the visual retro text & blurr effects ( i know they are for the immersion but for ppls with light-/sightproblems it can really make the difference)
- You can't play the characters you want, so you can only choose a prepared duo and not single persons you want to connect. (Dunno if it's just the case 'cause it's an alpha demo version)

Feedback:
So in my short playtime at the demo so far i can tell you guys i'm really hyped. I don'T have any performance issues at this point (i5 13600k | Nvidea geforce rtx 4070 Ti) playing on the highest settings.
For me it's a personal topic to talk about the blurry and retro text effects which gives me headache - 'cause i have trouble with my eyes since a year now and i'm very sensitive of educational work for what is good/bad in games for persons with neurological/eye complaints (i just can tell my opinion and not speaking for others - but i want to try to help out for better inclusion). So it would be really nice if you develop an option to take this retro effects and light flickering off or at least tone down. Maybe a scaling option for the UI text and survivor speechtext would be a great Idea too.
This is my fave genre for basebuilding games tbh. It would be even cooler if you can customize your survivor group in the way to choose the survivor of your choice and if you want it easier/harder with more/less survivor. Further it would be cool if you can recruit some new/more survivor in your playthrough. Maybe if you meet them by searching at a place, if you have earned enough trust by trading with other surviver or if you save them for zombies in maybe some special events. Dunno if something like this is in the game or will be implemented anyways :3.
Oh one last thing, 'cause i read it somewhere in the forum before. Some Ppl seems to be a bit mad about the not existing tutorial intro gameplay... for the maingame this could be a nice additional option if you are new to games like this. I'm personally fine how it is right now, just add a short combat/enemy tutorialtext before you get attacked the first time.

So yes i think thats it so far. Maybe i will philosophize in this comment section, if i got new ideas or impressions or if some other ppl want to comment and discuss here with cool ideas :D.

:GhostFlowerHappy: So hyped - can't wait . Positives Vibes yayyyy :GhostScared:
