Game mechanics

I have a couple of questions about the game mechanics. Since there is no save system and the days are limited, I try to explore as many locations as possible on the first attempt and not waste time recovering inside the shelter. I even restarted 5 completed phases since I lost the character. And even cleaned out the taxi station completely without weapons (not counting the frying pan, which was enough for one and a half zombies). I had to lure out one infected at a time and beat them with my fists. All because I didn't want to wait until the hammers were ready xD

So, when you move to another shelter, do your stations and workbenches move with you, or do they stay in place? I have built all the first-level stations, and I don't want to lose them.

Will infected and loot respawn in already cleared locations, if not, can I leave a couple of things and come back for them later?

And one more thing, what will happen when the barricade is completely broken? Will I have to fight on my return or is it an instant game over?

No respawn/refresh, Yes you can leave items wherever you want, they will stay here.

IDK. But certainly not a real-time fight on your return.
