HELP I BOUGHT THE WDL SEASON PASS ON UPLAY BUT HAVE THE GAME ON STEAM AND NOW IT WON'T ACTIVATE

I had bought the base game of Watch Dogs Legion here on Steam but saw a good offer on Uplay for the season pass. I thought "why not?" and bought it. Only after the purchase did I read online that this makes me unable to play the season pass for whatever reason.

Right now I feel scammed as Uplay did not inform me of this even being a possibility and I wasted my money for something I cannot play.

Anybody else experienced something like this before?
Is there any way that I can get my money back or to get Uplay to recognize the Season pass?

That reason is Steam/Valve's very strict policy regarding DLCs purchases outside of Steam. For example, if you had EGS version of Watch Dogs: Legion that Season Pass would be recognized and would work as intended. Valve are too greedy to allow that. You bought the game on Steam, you should buy DLCs on Steam only.

The only way to make Uplay (and then Steam) recognize Season Pass is to buy Uplay version of Legion, which is not an option.

Hello thank you for the answer.

For some reason today the season pass works totally fine and it got recognized automatically without me having to do anything. It appears there was some kind off delay when it came to the purchase, which was either a problem with Ubi or with my bank, either way the issue has resolved itself now.

Although this thread is therefore finished I will still keep it up in case somebody runs into a similar problem.

That's a great news really. Ubisoft probably changed something. Normally DLCs transfers work well between Steam and Uplay versions only when these 2 conditions are met:
- you bought/own 2 copies of the game: on Steam and on Ubi Connect;
- on both stores the game downloads full build for multiplayer or other reasons.

But there is still one question left, did you get Watch Dogs 1 Complete Edition on Ubisoft Connect after you bought Legion's Season Pass?

Yeah it was one of the first things that I checked. I have all the DLCS and the Season Pass for WD1 although I would like to note that I had the vanilla WD1 before I bought the WDL Season Pass so not sure if it would work if I did not have it.
