So if you thought that it was a 6/10 game shortly after release, it's an 8/10 game now after all updates. May be even 8.5 out of 10 with mods. It's still a bit buggy and unpolished, especially online, but all updates they released significantly improved core gameplay, made it more varied, more fun, and Season Pass is a must (+ gives you WD1 complete edition among other things).
Having said that, if you're a big fan of Watch Dogs 2, you're probably not gonna like it. Legion has a different vibe, focuses on different things, it was balanced around permadeath mode, so it's more about non lethal melee/stealth rather than shooting people. And all questionable design decisions (no music player, no car shop, no weapon shop, etc) are still there.
P.S: I played Watch Dogs 2 after Legion and wasn't impressed, because it didn't have some of the features Legion introduced. I especially didn't like the way WD2 stealth and hacking were balanced.
The game failed to hit its target sales, so its quickly got abandoned to cut cost, typical Ubisoft.
the main problem with Ubisoft, that they dont listen to community, they think they know best, and always go ahead with whatever they want ignoring all comments and complaints, this made them fail miserably with latest games like this one, FC6 and GR:Break point, at least in Break Point, they listened to the backlash and altered the game, but its still crap compared to wildlands.
to be honest, Ubisoft was my favorite developer, but not anymore, its a pity as they have great potential to do wonders by long supporting their games, listen to the community and make changes after release, offer modding tools and stop with the 4 layers of ♥♥♥♥ DRMs madness, but they are not doing it, thus, i ditched them, they are not worth my money anymore.
Didn't have issues with it. May be FOV slider might help.
Max is 4 traits, although some operatives have 3 or 2 for the sake of balance. If you don't like that you can use mods. And if you combine all traits the game has (basically recruit 30+ people that have them) gameplay will be more varied than in previous games. There are lots of cool stuff you can pull off that just wasn't possible. And lots of stuff was added on top of that: schedules, associates, permadeath, melee fights, disguises, different drones, auto drive feature, etc.
Besides there are lots of subtle improvements that made gameplay better. For example, the game doesn't lock your hacking abilities, so you can use them right in the middle of takedown and melee animations, so you could neutralize huge groups of enemies faster. Stealth is significantly improved, because you can holster your gun to force enemies to use melee instead of guns, disable their guns, crouch, use disguises and AR cloak.
Each red area on the map might become a mission location for recruitment missions, and there are dozens of them on the map. It's just how random generator works. Sometimes you might get the same location you recently visited.
That last part I agree with.
