Copy over save game.
Hey here is the deal. I bought WDL for 5-6£ I almost got through the story and I grind-ed up a lot. I like lot of of things about the game but the thing that pissed me off the most is how come in the whole game there is not even one long coat! Except in the DLC Bloodline of course which is 15£! ♥♥♥♥♥♥♥♥! Ubisoft really knows how to blackmail... And they left those side missions in the base game that let you play with the assassin chick, I completed the missions got notification that I recruited her but she is nowhere to be found! Because of course season pass... witch cost 30£! ♥♥♥♥♥♥♥♥ ubi! Ok fair enough I see now they have WDL ultimate edition on sale 80% off around 20£ but it's on ubistore not on steam and my question basically is can I transfer my progress over? Maybe I could copy the save file If I only new where it was. Any Idea?

The game always downloads the entire build for online compatibility, so you just need to buy the game with its Season Pass on Ubi store, may be download it and launch it once, and after that you will see all Season Pass content inside your Steam copy. Provided you use the same Ubisoft login in both cases.

So you can continue to play the game on Steam, although Ubisoft one will use significantly less space on your SSD/HDD, cause you can download only one language pack through Ubi launcher and disable high-rez textures, It's like ~110 GB on Steam vs ~60 GB on Ubi launcher. Although you can delete extra files on Steam manually, it can suddenly redownload them after updates.

As I said, it's not required, but you can transfer your progress. Just copy your savegame files from this Steam save folder:
c:\Program Files (x86)\Ubisoft\Ubisoft Game Launcher\savegames\<user-id>\7017\

to this Ubi Connect save folder:
c:\Program Files (x86)\Ubisoft\Ubisoft Game Launcher\savegames\<user-id>\3353\

If you just want Season Pass content (4 Season Pass agents, Bloodline DLC, WD1 Complete Edition), you can just buy Gold edition. Gold edition also includes Season Pass. Although I can't see prices, so don't know if it's worth it to pay for Ultimate to get 3 additional agents. Those 3 additional agents are not good enough.

No idea what you meant, there are plenty of them in different clothes stores.

Thanks for the reply I haven't try it yet. Waiting for some money transfer to my British bank account cause ubi don't accept most east eropean banks. It be very easy just to buy the season pass but there is no discounts there. 34$ for dlc for game that I bought for 6! Gold edition is twice the money of the Ultimate edition right now. Only difference is Ultimate have some extra skin packs or something. And yea believe or not I unlocked all the shops in the game and there is no long coats. Only the wd1 character that comes with the dlc have it and the assassin character but female version. However ubi launcher recognize my wdl steam copy I would try installing them in the same drive and will see. Will let you guys know if the standard and ultimate editions have separate progress as they are separate games after all. I found a discount code if I spent 30$ I get 15$ off so that's awesome.

The main difference is Ultimate has Urban Jungle Pack of three additional characters: Lynx, Leopard and Viper with all their clothes you can use on other operatives. You can check them via in-game store.

But they don't have unique skills/perks/abilities like Season Pass characters, it's just their combinations of perks are somewhat unique to them, they also have some limitations (too long to explain), that's why they're not that valuable. Especially if you like to play the game with permadeath enabled.

I get what you mean.

Will be no issues here, by default Ubi Connect and Steam are using different folders to install their games.

They will have separate progress for single player, because as I mentioned above they will use different save folders. But online progress will be the same.

Too bad I don't have much of online progress. My online experience wasn't very good. One team mate get spotted and we all get screwed to fast... And the spider bot get really repetitive very quickly. Online is more fun just to screw around the open world but you don't really rank up that way. And sooner or later they will shut down the servers anyway. Idk why why didn't cross over the recruits from the campaign to the multiplayer. Very few ways to rank up in the mp and it just gets boring very fast.

Because the entire map is open from the get-go, because you can create a new server very fast, because you can immediately "restart" the server switching between public and friends only modes, because you can launch different missions fast, because all Elite enemies are available, online is very useful for finding spawn points for operatives, testing their perks and abilities, figuring out how AI and different game mechanics really work, etc.

When online was more active, it was a good place to share knowledge about the game: the best operatives you can find, the game features, tricks, bugs and exploits.

Well, it would break both single player and online progression in a lot of ways.

For example, Imagine if each time your Aiden Pearce dies in single player, because of permadeath or Resistance difficulty enabled, you could just transfer him back from online mode? Or instead of getting new online levels for influence points to recruit new operatives online you could just import them from single player save for free?

It's not an issue on PC, because you can scan/edit your single player and online characters using Cheat Engine and this mod[www.nexusmods.com].

So you can recruit someone really unique online and apply their appearance, clothes, perks and even metadata to the operative you have in single player, and vice versa. It's a relatively complex process, but it's manageable.

And that mod is another reason why those 3 Ultimate edition characters are not worth it, you can find a much better characters in the game or can create a much better characters yourself using the mod.
