Cannot start campaign, game crash
Hello, I need help, when I start the campaign, the game crashes on the loading screen.
I disabled all overlays (Steam, Nvidia, Ubisoft), tried different languages (Russian and English).
I've selected different settings (Ultra > Minimum), tried setting FPS Lock.
I deleted my configuration files and nothing helped me.

Your CPU, GPU? How much VRAM, RAM do you have?

Try switch between DX11 & DX12. You can switch between them fast without constantly rebooting the game adding -DX11 or -DX12 to launch options in Steam library, Legion's properties.

It's also important to delete 'pipelinecache' folder inside game settings folder near configuration file. Because it contains some additional shader caches.

Also try to delete Ultra textures, the game might use less RAM/VRAM after that:
data_win64\videos_ultra.dat
data_win64\videos_ultra.fat
data_win64\worlds\london\london_ultra.dat
data_win64\worlds\london\london_ultra.fat

4060TI/8GB
I5 12400
16GB RAM
I've deleted pipeplinecache and Ultra textures and it's still crush

Well, you have enough VRAM/RAM, so it's not Ultra textures.

Try to change DX11 to DX12 and vice versa. Disable ray traced reflections, just in case.

Try to launch everything with admin rights: Steam, Ubisoft Connect, the game. Make sure that Ubisoft Connect is properly installed. I would recommend to reinstall it downloading from Ubisoft site[www.ubisoft.com].

Try to clear Nvidia's shader cache. I don't know how to do it, I have AMD card.

The issue was probably related to DirectX and VCRedist.

How you verified? And from where did you download the files?

I just verifed files in steam (in steam properties of game), then it’s downloaded in steam a few files for me. After that campaign starts without any problems.

I told him to delete ultra textures - 4 files, because I thought that his rig is below system requirements (one of the many reasons the game might crash during campaign/save game loading is your PC doesn't have enough RAM/VRAM). It was a mistake, he has enough RAM/VRAM. So he just redownloaded those textures he previously deleted. They're not the reason the game crashed in his case.

I moved "ultra files" outside when u tell me to delete them, after it doesn't help, I just moved files back to game and check files, the size of files was around 150 mb. I think something happened when installing the game.

That is a very important clarification.

Hey there,

it is great to hear that this is now resolved after verifying game files.

If ever we can help in the future, just let us know.
