game crashes when changing clothes

That's a known issue for Nvidia cards. Read this thread, try to install previous drivers mentioned there (528.24 or 528.49). If that doesn't help, turn off ray tracing or switch to DX11.

Gone back for another play through, running a RTX 4090 on a 13900k, changing/buying clothes just crashes the game randomly with a "nvlddmkm cannot be found" error in Event Log.

Also get a random hang driving across the city, but the game recovers.

Nothing wrong with my hardware as Cyberpunk 2077 with Ray and Path tracing on maxed setting in 4k, it's the only game that has issues.

You can try to switch to DX11 in the settings. That solved my case.

The game is relatively buggy, but if you need to blame someone for this crash, blame Nvidia. The game doesn't crash when you're changing clothes on AMD cards.
