I managed to get to a moon and returned with some eludium and lumenite but I can't seem to sell it or any other item I'm carrying. I'm following the wiki by opening the Coms (F3), selecting the trade channel, and using the Hand w/ Diamond icon to offer things to sell.

But there's no reply. Even if I offer things for free. I've also tried standing at the broker, mine, airport, and retail buildings. I've also tried saving>quitting>restarting the game.

Is the whole trade system borked or is there a secret handshake I'm missing?

I figured it out. I walked up to a retail store and opened the building menu (F10). Saw the "Offer to Sell" button in the Store tab. This opens a com channel with that specific building where we can then buy and sell as described.

I also discovered that I can simply take items from a building via the building tab without paying.

I guess the wiki is a little out of date.

I was following the example section.

After a re-read, I see that I missed that the example assumes that I'm in a spacecraft, so it actually might not be wrong. We just need a 2nd example for anyone on foot.
