Crashed, lost data

end of 2nd to last wave Totend, game froze, so I force closed it, but when I reopened I was in level one again.

This seemed to have been a issue in the past so verified files hoping it would fix it self, said I was missing files and they were reinstalled. Sadly, no luck still reopened the game to tutorial level.

Meant to try and grab crash files but even with hidden files showing I'm lost, found C:\...\Grizzly Games\Thronefall there are player and prev player files but a find command doesn't find anything with error or crash.

Did my re-verifying or anything wipe my data completely?

Sorry to read about the data you lost. Verifying your game's files should technically not cause you to lose your progress.

Crashfiles asides, since there could be many, many reasons for that, have you tried the method we wrote about in our troubleshooting post, pinned in the Steam forums? It's probably not foolproof, but it could possibly help you recover what you lost.

Otherwise, something you can try to do is edit your savefile. It's pretty easy and self-explanatory.
Go to your C:\Users\[name]\AppData\LocalLow\Grizzly Games\Thronefall and open ThroneSave.sav , using any text editor (Notepad, for example.)
Inside, you can simply change what you want.

I read it and misunderstood one of the steps or misnamed something, I have my backup files and just messed up with them, the second to latest renamed worked just now, sry for the waste of time, honestly without the response I wouldn't have tried again.
