This game has specifically designed maps, and all buildings you place go onto the specific spots built into the map. They're mostly in great spots - e.g. the walls are always placed in front of the towers, the houses are usually in the back near the main base. But the strategy comes down to how you spend your gold each night on those preplaced buildings.
The replayability comes from getting all the quests done on a map (which are like, take X y Z perk, use X weapon, give enemy extra health mod, stuff like that) and then high scores to chase (it automatically has a friend leaderboard)
The game is not fully free like TAB where you can build any buildings you want and expand on the map how you want. it's more of a mini-rts than a fully fledged one.
It's very fun tho
Also there is a rogue-like mode after you beat all the lvls where you get random perks and they stack up and every level changes the monsters you're fighting and such - so the maps are the same and the placed spots are the same but you will get to build a really strong character through the rogue like mode because usually by the time you lose you have like 20 perks instead of the 5 you get in normal lvls
