There are plenty of great games that have less content for more money (stray comes to mind)... I think this game is well worth the cost at the moment, and because it is a game of high score chasing, there is a lot of replay value already... If replaying the same levels with different perks and modifiers isn't your thing, then this probably just isn't the game for you...
You are then comparing apples and oranges.
What..? They are both fruit.
The fallacy is that all of this is subjective.
Blanket statements because you think do not change the truth.
Entertainment may be compared within itself without the need to break it down into component parts or genres. Whether I am bowling, balling or barfing it all goes in and it all comes out and sometimes it's well worth the ride.
Enjoy your life. It's way too short to be wasting time trying to convince everyone you're the one who knows what fun really is.
Cheers..!
My 9.99 is not the same as yours. Some come by money cheap and it means nothing. 2.99, 10.99, 50.99.... If it's less than a $100 it doesn't even register. To others, $10 is all I got to spend on food this week, so it's a little more important.
The value of my time is not the same as yours.
The ever elusive interpretation of "play time" or "play value" is definitely not the same.
I may actually enjoy the simpler $10 game and eschew the cheap game because it's just grindy levels that give little reward for time spent. Longer game does not equal gooder game. That's just dumb.
You can argue fine that your take on value for money and time is XYZ.
You cannot argue it as universal fact or as something "everyone" will understand, appreciate or even want.
You are trying to tell me what's what. I'm telling you that's not it.
Both are correct. Both are valid. And neither has anything to do with anyone else on the planet.
Cheers..!
Your time measurement and quality index and all that is for you, not I.
My "facts" are not the same as your "facts". I make my own judgments and have my own values, I don't need help assessing the quality of my purchase.
Please be happy having your own beliefs and your own way in your own world.
Please also to be happy and let others make up their own mind and enjoy what they enjoy without being berated for not meeting another's standards or expectations.
Hell. We prolly don't even play at the same speed, so an hour for you may be 3 for me. Not that I care... I take my time and enjoy.
Oh, and there are a ton of modifiers for every run. I wonder how many mathematical possibilities there are given you get to choose 5 perks out of a wall. There's even special runs lower left to try for fun and profit.
I will never run out of combos to try before I grow tired and move on.
So again, not only is your "only x amount of playtime" subjective, it comes off as incredibly ill-informed given all the choices you can make in any given run.
Anyway. Please to be awesome and have a most excellent day..!! ?B)
Cheers..!
You a burying everyone in this argument. I'm not being sarcastic, either. It's just such an articulate, thorough dismantling of their points, lol. You are 100% correct and to argue otherwise would be oblivious to the reality of the situation. The cost:value for every person is relative to that person's circumstances. My expectation of the value of $7, or perception of what 7 hours being "well spent" looks like, may not be the same as another person's. That's it. The correct way to have phrased OP's concern is "I do not feel like I got my money's worth", which is a perfectly fine sentiment. I don't know them, so I believe them when they say they didn't get the value they expected for that amount they paid. The impact of that $7 may be different for them. Me? I buy cocaine. Money is like dust in the wind.... and up my nose.
It's not up to you to determine my happiness with anything, nor my perceived value of anything.
I am sorry you didn't feel you got what you paid for. As stated above, that is a perfectly legitimate sentiment. You have every right to convey your feelings on the matter, up to and including the demanding of a refund.
You do not have the right to establish a value on me, my time or my perception of how things be and what they be worth.
The air bag analogy is innovative, but it's not applicable. It feels you are trying to tell me it's a cheap airbag and it'll get me deaded. If it saves my life in the inevitable crash, in my mind that's a bargain.
How that all fits into "i feel like i got ripped and i aint happy about it" is something I can't quite connect with all those tangent-dental dots and whatnot, but I don't have to.
I can accept the fact you are unhappy. I can see you think differently. I have no need for you to accept my thoughts or adopt my ways.....
However I do have need for you to accept that I have them, they are mine, and are just as valid as any other human beings on the planet including your own.
I do not exist for you to define. None of us do.
Go in peace and be awesome as only you know how to be..!
Cheers..!
I'll be locking this thread. I don't feel the conversation is going in a respectful and constructive direction.
Just as a heads-up, there already are a couple of mods, (that you can check out on our Discord) and after full release and the final big update is released in a few months, modders will have all the time they want to work on improving or making more mods.
Cheers
