Level Confusion

I'm a bit confused, is the only way to progress through the 6 levels of each separate map to play each of the mutators? I've won multiple times on the early maps and the level does not seem to increase to the next round. I see no reason to handicap myself with negative attributes by engaging the mutators and it really seems like I'm re-playing the same battle over and over again. Thanks.

When you select a map you will see a list of quests in the lower right corner with specific conditions.

The mutators allow you to push the game off easy mode, how it's meant to be played.

There are no "levels" in the game. You set your own difficulty by choosing your own mutators. The 6 "levels" you are seeing are the 6 quests in the bottom right corner when you start the game, clear the map with that SPECIFIC combination of mutators (or more) to complete that quest.

You can actually complete multiple quests at a time too, if you are good at the game.
