The biggest part is focus a lot on gold-gaining/optimising perks & castle upgrades. This allows you to almost buy everything possible. Big harbours and Treasure hunter are must haves.
You also want to micromanage how much you can get away with not spending on units/defences but on more gold in the first few waves. Those waves are crucial for economy-boom. Be prepared to fail a few times while you figure this out.
I've also found fire archers to be an excellent all-around ranged unit on this map, since they're good at crowd-control. You may also want one group of berserkers on the left-side to deal with the ogres & siege.
The harbour on the right is problematic because there are a number of flying waves that are pretty likely to destroy it. The upgraded harbour has more health, but depending on the mutators that might not be enough. You could try the archer-range perk to deal with this if you keep losing it or maybe just having more archers is enough.
For the boss wave, have maybe 4 of your melee units hold ground in front of the castle to stop those faster units from reaching it when they spawn inside your walls. You also want every barracks fully upgraded, your blacksmith fully upgraded, every wall upgraded and several of the towers near the lake to be the sniper variant, since you want to get through waves as quick as possible.
Edit: Oh I mistook which one Quest F was. Yeah the wasp mutator makes early economy boom difficult... hmm
I actually got close again using your ideas but failed with 2 waves left on the boss. As soon as he starts putting the monsters in the base it all falls apart.
I used fire archers and aoe attackers for melee.
Last upgrade for the castle i took the +50% damaged on focused target and i used it on the boss.
For the boss, i have used a fire tower on each side where he lands, and i stand right next to the fire tower where he is at each phase.
I put half of my units down right and the other half down left for the first 4 phases, then i put them up for the rest of the fight.
I dont remember what tower upgrade i did near the castle, i think it is the tanky one for the double arrows, because they never attack those tower so fire tower seems uselss there.
Good luck thought :)
The waves that target the throne become easy, you can almost ignore them.
Arcane towers and glass canon are amazing options for the other 2 perks , especially with the bow.
For this quest F i took commander mode, big harbour, and power tower.
On first day you should get the hunters because just with that you will be able to kill all the first few waves so the rest of your $ can be used on economy. Get the harbor first as economy building. Invest everything in economy and upgrades (base upgrade + blacksmith), except for the few military things mentioned below.
On the night with the crossbow, only get 1 tower and put your hero next to that tower it will shoot super fast and kill all the crossbow.
You will need a second tower on the right side when the flying thing attack you.
Even against the first ram wave you wont need additional military, just put your hunter in front of the tower and hold position they will kill the ram when it reaches you and you will kill all the units with the extra fast tower next to you.
The next night you will need more military is the night with the rolling thing that target your main base immediately, on that night just build the 3rd level base + 1 wall on the way they are coming + maybe an extra tower.
I usually get knights on the night that has a lot of crossbows and rams.
Dont forget to get the 2nd level harbor when you have a lot of ships.
The last 3 waves are the hardest and thats where you can switch from investing everything in economy to investing everything in military, wall everything, get the flails as 2nd melee, the fire arrow as 2nd ranged. Get Fortress towers and healing towers (usually one on each side) and on the last night a balista tower to kill the boss.
I didn't build anything south of the 2 walls closest to your base.
The last night will require good micro, when you want to kill unit, go next to a fortress tower. When your units get low on hp, go next to healing tower. And when there not much units around, go next to balista tower to shoot the boss. Put 2-4 hunters in hold position next to your base to kill the roling monsters that target your base (in a way that they can attack them in melee). Reposition your melee units when needed.
in the last fight i had 2 balista towers 1 heal tower and 2 stone wall
rest of the money went on the 2 fire archers 1 spear and 1 flalis
so i took all the army togther to fight all the enemy he spwan from side to side
i didnt lose any wall just few houses when he sent them inside directly
good luck
This actually made it super easy. The biggest castle upgrade is the one where you get +50% damage from all sources on your current target. You target the boss and then just ride around power-towering. I built 2 sniper towers on the left & right, then a fortress & healing tower by the left & right wall. I focused on the snipers first regardless of the mobs and then when the boss goes down I spend that free time to clear up the mobs by powering the other towers.
