I wrote a Pickpocketing guide!
So Pickpocketing is a potentially lucrative skill. But it's also rather tedious to use. I mean, there's lots of NPCs and you have to rifle through many of their pockets before finding something worthwhile, and let's be honest, most items in this game aren't very good.

So, to help use this skill to its fullest, I wrote a long, comprehensive guide, covering every steal I found worthwhile or interesting. Check it out here: https://steamcommunity.com/sharedfiles/filedetails/?id=3136280584

Feel free to leave any constructive feedback or suggestions.

Is it the fishing village of Harley where you can get ridiculously powerful swords for the pub? Never used pickpocketing in the original

There's so much pickpocketing possible in this version! I'm glad it's streamlined now. I also made a huge subsection of my own guide for that very thing, and am still having to add to it as I find PA-exclusive characters you can steal from.

Nah, that's the old man in Marze. What most guides suggest doing is stealing his Goodie Box and then savescumming its results for some high end weapons, including a Marvel Sword. But if you want to pull off that stunt, you can just as easily savescum the results of level 4 Art until you get a Goodie Box(or more) and then savescum their results, all before even setting foot in Marze.

That's cool, but the thing is, I wanted to specifically highlight the important steals rather than list them all out, because of all the factors I mentioned in my original post. Still, there is merit in having the list too, especially for academic purposes.

Pretty sure it’s 800-1000 attack sword in the pub. I’ll get some screenshots sometime. It’s the pub full of warrior types.

I just checked Harley and Hilton pre-Tournament of Arms, and nothing at either. I thought maybe you meant the Lacuer pub since it's filled with warriors, but there wasn't anything there (pre-tourney) either. Maybe it's a timed event? Like when you see Opera for the first time, maybe there's someone there to pickpocket a good sword from in that event that isn't there before the tournament? Or new NPCs in either Harley or Lacuer after the tournament. Idk.

I’ll have a look again and see what I can find. It after a complete game restart. Many some items are different.. pretty sure you’re not supposed to be able to pick pocket at that point in the game anyway…

It might have been the event where you Claude meets the prince duplicate of himself

There are a couple of people you can steal an Oriental Blade from early on (including a Combatant in the Lacuer pub before the Tournament of Arms starts), but that's a Dias-exclusive weapon, so that's probably not what you mean. The Squad Leader near the entrance of the Lacuer Front Line Base has a Soulbreaker, maybe that's what you're thinking of?

I’m sure it’s a pub scene.. I’ve got an early save so I’ll take another look
