Thoughts on Customize and Blacksmith
Wouldn't it be nice if you could "reinforce" weaker weapons that you like, making them more powerful so you can hold onto them for longer?

What if Customize allowed you to spend raw materials on improving the stats of weapons (and armor?) up to a point that varies based on the base power of the item in question?

You might only get up to "+3" with your Aeterna, but perhaps your Farslayer could get up to "+10," bringing its ATK all the way up to, idk, ~1200?

Higher grade weapons (and armor) would require higher grade materials to Customize their attributes (and higher Customize Lv, of course), while your good old Farslayer might get all the way to that +10 with 1200 ATK with just a bunch of Iron.

This would still be different from Remaking. You're not adding or modifying factors or even the effects of the items, just the raw statistics (though an argument could be made for this form of Customization perhaps allowing you to add/remove elemental attack).

And what if, then, Blacksmith took on the old job of "reforging" old weapons (and armor) into new pieces, as an additional option on top of the existing forging of brand new armor (but maybe also brand new weapons now too)?

Thoughts?

Tbh Customization should effectively be Remaking, and Blacksmithing should cover the roles of both current Customization and itself. It doesn't make a whole lot of sense to forge brand new weapons by combining old weapons with minerals, even with magic involved. That way weapon and armor progression could be a lot more balanced too, though I'm sure both Customization and Blacksmith would need bigger changes beyond this.

originally this was avoided when they made the game because the level cap is 255, and your stats at the highest levels overshadows weapon stats almost completely. Also it was originally a 32bit game, you could only calculate so much with the limitations at the time however...if they did incorperate that, your character would be a nigh Immortal God at highest levels.
