How can you defeat Gabriel?

I'm lvl 93 and i still can't beat him. -_-
I'm even on easy difficulty

What's party setup look like? Nab some gear to null/absorb water/earth/light elements, have Rena put up Refection+Angel Feather and ya should be fine.

Also remember that level 93 sounds high, but max level is actually 200. I played on universe, so my experience will be different to yours, but I didn't beat Gabriel until level 140 or so. You shouldn't need to be that high, but a few more levels can't hurt.

Reinforcing the tip RunningWild provided... If you're struggling with Gabriel the easiest / laziest solution is to find equipment that NULL or Absorbs fire, earth, light, and water iirc. Can't remember if he used any other elements. He also has a random instant auto attack animation that will nuke you so you will need some revive items in stock just in case. Petrification resistance or stone cleansing consumable are good to have, too.

That is an acceptable level not particularly behind or ahead in the remake at that point. You're extremely close to the end of the game. Nede, in general, gives tons of exp so depending on your approach there will probably be some 10 to even 30 level gap between players there probably in the realm of 100-130.

You can max all skills/IC, too, later but that wont typically happen until post game. Just go into Maze of Tribulations with body guard to the floor with the thieves and santa, stand in a corner, and go afk for a few minutes to automatically hit level 255. Just make sure to use points as it caps at 9999 otherwise if you come back after its maxed you will not have enough for skills (gotta use a few thousand as you earn them). Needs one of the two body guard rate accessories, though. Preferably, the +30% body guard one.

You need to grind more. You can easily get to 150 in Phynal.

Haven't gotten there yet, but I remember in the original he would use Earthquake which would just about wipe me so Earth resistance was important to me. Bunny shoes helped to keep pace with him. My team was usually Celine/Ashton/Diaz/Rena probably lvl 120 or so IIRC.

Head splitter was a great way to cheat earthquake. That spell was instant death for a lot of the game in the original.

:O I never knew! I've been playing these games for years and never got past 180 or so on my best runs. Though I also only ever went as hard as universe, never attempted a 4D run in the games that have it.

If you chain battles on floor 2-3 in Phynal, you can fight those big birds which give a bunch of exp for that area. At level 93, you'd get 3-5 levels per chain.

You aren't missing out. 4D is considered quite easy due to a severe AI bug (technically, flaw rather than bug) meaning the difficulty before it (Universe iirc?) was the hardest as long as you don't abuse defense stacking to take 0 dmg even in post game super boss fights. The 4D issue is the AI will simply stand there and only acts under certain conditions and due to the nature of the bug will easily occur even entirely on accident without intentional exploitation, granted you can also intentionally exploit the crud out of it to make it basically impossible to lose.

I think its best to be at least over level 100 to 110

Get elemental resistant armor and fight normally. Cast Angel Feather to ensure that your party's dmg and defense is buffed.

Option 2
Get elemental resistant armor for Rena. Get Bloody Armor for 1-3 other guys. Play as Rena and have her spam heal.

Option 3: Just grind a little more. ;p

Option 4: If you're gonna use bloody armor/helm, do it properly and use 4 fighters with HP/MP drain.
