What is super armor in formation?

So only used to play the orginal SO2 on ps1 back in the days but i dont ever remember seen a "super armor" property or if there is one i cant remember it.

Anyway i cant seem to find anything on what the "super armor" actually does when you use a formation with that property and trigger it with the spheres
