For other two, just trial and error, big data makes it certain.
For example, I've done more than 6,000 reworking for all the characters and I can assure you stuff like crit heal, mp drain, hp drain, full reset, etc are in support category for armor. While stuff like gathering stars, bomber, coercion, item master, and full bonus are in special category for accessories. It's just because I've done thousands of it.
I got 20% hp drain on a gale earring
I have yet to get either drain on accessories or armor from remaking while I fairly consistently get it on weapons.
Tried just brute-forcing with just factor energy/food and lo and behold master work appears on the equipment that i need to factor which is honestly annoying me
