RIP Denuvo

Was just checking this out, looked pretty interesting. I haven't gotten into a JRPG in a loong time, and seemed like maybe this a good choice. But I can't support Denuvo. It's garbage tier software that I very much doubt helps developers at all. Too bad people on the boards get fed ideas and stats from Denuvo and eat that up.

Yeah... I'd rather not see the Star Ocean franchise scrapped due to your ignorance. It was almost canned after Star Ocean The Divine Force and somehow we ended up getting this great remake.

If something is irrelevantly minor as Denuvo which has brought me no harm is used to help protect a great franchise from going under than I have no issue with it, especially as it has once again never caused me any issues.

You're loss not getting this game and several others countless other people have no issue with.

Tri-Ace really should start their own 2D-HD mainline SO game after this, just re-use the sprites from the gacha game or make new sprites.

Octopath Traveler 1+2 and Triangle Strategy broke the 1 million copies mark, something I'm not sure SO5 or 6 ever got past that.

Hi-fidelity graphics are getting boring, and we need lower budget but more feature-oriented games like this remake.

The only reason I can see people whining about denuvo is that they actually don't get to pirate the game ... no, theres little to no effect on quality of the game from denuvo alone, saying that is pretty much just calling oneself out as a pirate.

denuvo isn't doing anything to prevent people pirating this game, so if that was his goal, he would just pirate it.

denuvo really has an amazing PR firm, geeze.

Just because it use DENUVO doesn't mean it has an impact on the game.

Ok what does Denuvo do anyways? Doesn't it just prevent piracy and how many times you can install the game in a day? If you have more then the computers it says you can install in a day then you are trying to do something the software is intended to do stop you from sharing the game and giving copies out free. Do not give me that persons video of how he couldn't stream Monster Hunter Rise. Either he shared the game with others and they were trying to play or he had it on 5 different computers already. Also are you planning to stop buying consoles because they are starting to use that software to.

I'd buy this game for 2 friends if they removed Denuvo. I have 2 friends I'm aware of that I wanted to buy the game for to share this experience with that wouldn't accept due to Denuvo.

Denuvo does impact performance, even if little. This game is no where near process or graphically intensive enough that it will be noticeable, unless you're playing on a real potato PC.

Yeah, you can expect Square to slap Denuvo on everything. But hey, that just means you gotta wait at least half a year before buying Square game. You can probably even get it on discount at that time.
