Slappity Slap from Welch is one of the most disrespectful attacks in the game lol.
Which is great, btw. Balance is overrated.
I don't remember her. Is she a new character to the Remaster? Or did they just butcher her name in the original translation?
And I've been noticing that the game in general is just fricken easy. Like, Celine's spells are ridiculous now, even early game. I remember Celine being mostly dead weight until like... near the end of Lacuer when she starts finally learning her better spells. But dude, some of her early spells are way better now.
Can't wait until I can see what Precis can do now...
Also, yes. This game was already quite breakable in it's original state. All of the added stuff just makes it even more bonkers. Playing this game on Universe is pretty much a must if you have ANY prior knowledge on how this game works.
As for Precis, due to the fact the damage limit get's upped an extra digit eventually, she can get to the max damage cap easier than some evidently. Balanced by the fact she can't wear Bloody armor.*
*I swear I'm not Vegh.
Just look at Tales of Berseria.
The heroine of that game is entirely, utterly, unashamedly overpowered and yet that game tops most peoples' lists of Tales of games and it has a rather high ranking on many peoples' AJRPG lists in general.
Ahh, I never played the PSP version.
I wonder if the Remaster has the same character exclusivity going on, like if you recruit Opera, you must get Ernest and you cannot get Ashton? And/or the same # of slots, because adding a new character, you'd have to get rid of somebody to make room for Welch, not sure who I'd get rid of, other than maybe Noel because he always seemed like a weak attempt to combine Celine and Rena into one and doing poorly at it, but IIRC Noel is a required character who always joins you.
But you're right, I think this version is a bit easier than the PS1 version, because there are many extras and 'gifts', also crafting customizing etc is much easier in this version, so we can get good weapons in the early to mid game.
And for the Mage, it's heavily buffed and there's no need to wait to finish the animation. I love Celine! And will continue to 2nd playthrough with Claude to recruit Leon.
So another question, is Welch harder to find? Not asking for huge spoilers, but I wanna make sure I grab her on my way through, and don't do something stupid and miss her.
I noticed that when the guild had me make a freaking FLAME SWORD before even getting to Celine's hometown, I was like "wtf!" and also all the jewelry I was pumping out effortlessly.
If you're referring to me, no, I was talking about Noel, the animal preservation guy who joins you on Nede. IIRC, he always joins you no matter what, because you always have 7 characters when you get to him, as Leon/Dias are exclusive to each other and IIRC, Precis/Bowman are exclusive. Though I forget who fills Ernest's spot if you end up grabbing Ashton...
She's not hard to recruit, it's just that she's missable. Just do PA often.
At that point when Noel joins, you can also already max your party member by getting Opera, Ernest, Welch.
