Raid bosses on Expel World map

When are the raid bosses (Giant sized red clouds) on the world map meant to be attempted and are they missable?

Were they meant to be done before leaving Expel? and if so, how do you get back to expel from nede? from what I've read, I may have locked myself out from expel, expel raid bosses and maze dungeon until I beat final boss.

You definitely can beat those raid bosses even before you leave Expel if your playing skill is good enough. Just keep kiting and use Air Slash etc. Might take hours though.

My trick was the Bloody Armor + Energy sword tech to fight some of those bosses.

So would you say they are intended to actually be post game content then? considering their difficulty and rewards they give?

It all depends. If you like challenge, you can try to kill it at level 50-60.

I imagine most of them are postgame. You can't even reach some of them until postgame.

Postgame is after you reach the final save point in the game. You have to leave the final dungeon, go to fun city and talk to an old dude near the battle tournament. He'll offer to send you to a virtual version of Expel.

You can cheese them with exploits earlier, but they are mostly supposed to be post game boss fights.

i fought 12 but can't find the last one ... any ideas? is there someone not on the world map?

ps: no they are not missable. it also seems you need to kill the final boss and load savegame after credits, otherwise the old man will not let you go to expel.

Rena + Dias ending shows ketil. You do know that expel is saved, right?

They could make it like FF7R. If they changed the story, there would be opening for potential continuation beyond the original game. Beside it will give us some shock because of we didn't prepare for the plot twist.

Nah, never finished the OG, save was corrupted just after reaching Nede. I thought Expel was destroyed after Eluria?

Beating the expel raid bosses yields some great stuff.
Notably a 3300 atk sword for dias and a battle suit. If you recruited Ernest this gives 3 battle suits available before leaving expel.
