Everything I've played has magically vanished.
If the demo popup came up, your save was probably already gone.
It should only ask that on first startup.
Open Windows Security and go to Virus & threat protection. From there scroll down to Ransomware protection and click "Manage ransomware protection". If Controlled folder access is turned off, then this doesn't apply to you. If it's turned on, add the game's executable as an exception by clicking "Allow an app through Controlled folder access". After I did this, I was able to load my old saves again. Hopefully this helps someone out.
