Can you rename the playable characters like in the original?

Yes, but if you're going to do that I'd turn off VA if I were you as the VA will continue to use the original name.

Or at least you can rename the main character. I'm fairly certain you can rename the other ones, but I'm not 100% on that.

Yes you can rename them! However, I'm having problems renaming Celine. It tells me I'm using inappropriate characters or something to that extent :/ I'm only trying to name her Christine and tried Christy for short and that doesn't work either. I'm assuming it's a bug.

Could be Letter Cap Limit or another "Christ" inappropriate

Chalk that one up to YouTube videos and everyone constantly watching other people stream gameplay. I mean legit the creators of Saints Row 2022 added a ton of royalty free music because they thought people would be constantly broadcasting gameplay footage.
