It's not AI generated lol. It's from the psp version and it sounds fine. Its not as gruff sounding and the ps1 version but it fits the often silly and over the top nature of the game.

The direction isn't the best sure, but it was done back during the PSP era when voice acting still has very little budget for it. It's not terrible either let's not exxagerate.

Nah, the PS1 version only had voices in combat, and they sounded *awful*, far worse than the 'just bad' PSP acting.

As a fan of the Original mostly, yeah the PSP voice acting is on par with what i expect and honestly prefer. Most of it is good, some of its trash or maybe poorly timed/translated but thats what makes this era of games so good. Looked if you like your super try hard 2023 voice actors then you can enjoy that. Im sure you can find tons of games from developers who have out stayed their lifespan of making good games and super try hard "professional" voice actors. All the golden era of games have sub par VA and its ♥♥♥♥♥♥♥ comforting. But also that final trailer put out... those voiced lines sounded like heaven. Trust me man, people love these characters and were doing it with sprite work which means you know it has some charm to it.
