This will be the first time I have purposely not recruited Ashton, first time I played as a kid I missed him, and I will not recruit Celine for the first time, now that I know.

my main duo are ashton and precis, the rest are fillers i mix and match with depending on my mood

Same with you, my best party is always Claude, Rena, Celine, Precis, Opera, Ernest, Welch, and Chisato.
I've never used Celine, but if I don't recruit her, it feels like something is wrong and missing even though she's useless (before the remake), but it looks like Celine in the remake got a huge buff!

First play through is going to be Claude, Rena, Leon, Opera, Ernest, Celine, Bowman, Noel.

Second will be Rena, Claude, Dias, Ashton, Precis, Chisato, Welch, Celine.

I think that gives me everyone in 2 play throughs and gives me the party I want for Rena's Post Game. Don't care about doing post game Claude.

Rena, Claude, Opera, Ernest, Bowman, Dias and Chisato are for sure going to be my party members.

I just can't decide if I want to take Celine or Noel. The pros and cons are pretty much Noel is great for back-up heals out of combat cause Celine does nothing but damage and a couple semi-decent buffs. He just comes really really late in the game.

However if you forego Celine you're basically stuck only having two characters until you grab Ashton or Opera. If you're going for Opera (superior character over Ashton imo) you're only going to have Rena and Claude for like 10ish or so hours of playtime until after the tournament.

Someone help me decide between Celine or Noel. D:

Just letting you know you can't get Opera and Ashton in the same party. They're mutually exclusive characters the same way Precis and Bowman are.

You can only get Ashton OR Opera and Bowman OR Precis. You'll have to pick who you want more between the two.
