Partial Controller Support Only

Wow so weird they did this especially since all other versions of this game were on consoles. Not sure why they are focusing on keyboard and mouse but thankfully it doesn't affect me since I have been using keyboard and mouse with the demo already and it didn't bother me.

It says Partial Controller support instead of Full because some parts require the keyboard to type name and such, me think, like Tactics Ogre Reborn.

Seems odd though because you could easily do that with a controller since this game is a remake of the older versions and there doesn't seem to be anything new added.

I think it's the devs or higher ups being lazy and not taking the time to implement it is what I figure because they want to release it as fast they can.

Perhaps, the console version will have their own keyboard/letter selection, but the PC version needs the keyboard.

Well, it's a correct assumption that PC players have KB+M anyway.

Yeah but second evolution and second story did not need a keyboard for anything, this game could have easily been made with full controller support yet they chose not to, my curious side wonders why but I doubt I will ever find the reason why lol.

Been using a controller with the demo just fine. Doesn't work out of window and for name prompts but that seems to be it.

If there's no typing session, the game can prolly be played with just controller.

i played with a controller on pc works just fine, no keyboard necessary, used a xbox 360 wired i think maybe its an xbox1 controller but either way i had no issues with anything. maybe they just don't have all types of controllers working and thats why it says partial

Well there is the rub. If people are using a PSX controller, and expecting it to work properly, they are simply delusional.

I have said this before, and I will say it again, and likely more than just this. Xbox and Playstation, are in DIRECT competition with one another. Why would Microsoft, allow native support for the competing markets device?

Does that sound like a smart financial decision to you?

Playstation controllers work just fine. Microsoft does not own steam. Ive played the demo with Xbox, Playstation and Switch pro controllers and it works. Its all good everyone.

I can tell you guys a tip, for gamepads to work on any and all modern games all you need is it to say it uses xinput, again xinput is what is needed. I use an offbrand ps3 controller that supports xinput and also mentions on the seller page that it works for pc and every single game I have played on pc works with it.
