Even if they put 100 Devunos, Denovus, or Denovos, I will still play.
The protection work. For niche (SO2 is kinda niche) games its either denuvo on PC or console only release, because most people going to piracy it. And I want to play it 4k@120fps on my PC. Its not Witcher 3, that everyone just buy.
Want to have PC dark times again (when 80% x360/ps3 games werent on pc)?
I will pick it up when/if Denuvo is taken out. If the company would rather spend the money on something that is only an inconvenience to us (such as the performance rate and when Denuvo servers go offline), then I will not touch the product. Simple as.
If Empress doesn't want to crack it, then that game can't be pirated forever (at least until another Empress emerges, but no one knows when would that happen).
Would I prefer all games be DRM free? Yep you bet. Will I ♥♥♥♥♥ and moan when a game has DRM? Nope, because that does nothing. Companies will continue to use DRM, just be glad they aren't still doing it like in the bad old days. "Please enter word 32 of page 126 of the included booklet." Or even better, the dreaded dongle that connects between your GPU and your monitor and if it's not there the game will not display. That was a fun one.
Simply complain all you want, you not buying the game doesn't out weigh all the people who will end up buying the game that would have pirated it otherwise.
The bigger issue is the piracy woes of the Switch which has this game, too...
As for Denuvo, itself, as a consumer I couldn't really be bothered since it has no negatives on me. I really don't mind if developers protect their financial interests and no inconvenience to me.
I’m sure this repeat of the live a live thread is going to go swimmingly for you.
This one actually has fans that had it as kids unlike live a live, you might be in trouble here my friend.
So many based Star Ocean 2 enjoyers here. It’s beautiful
"Ruins game performance".... WTF are you playing on, a Tandy?
